The International Association of Historians of Asia (IAHA) was formed in 1960 as a professional organization dedicated to the promotion of historical research on Asia. IAHA conference has since then been held every two or three years. The 18th IAHA conference will be held at Academia Sinica, Taipei, Taiwan, December 6-10, 2004. It will focus on “Paradigm Shift in Asia: East, Southeast, South Asia, and the Pacific in Comparative Perspective”.
