The international conference on “Citizen Politics and Democracy in East Asia” has invited scholars to share their accumulated research using Asian Barometer Survey data and explore the development of democracy in the region by looking at changes in the attitudes of citizens. By increasing our understanding of the complexities of the region, the conference can make a contribution to regional democratic stability and development. Following the conference, some scholars will stay behind for the Asian Barometer Survey planning meeting, which will discuss the questionnaire for the fourth wave of the survey.
