Dr. Nick Lin is an assistant research fellow in the Institute of Political Science at Academia Sinica. Broadly speaking, he studies political representation in advanced democracies by examining both sides of the representational relationship. On the elite side, he investigates how political institutions and electoral contexts shape political elites’ behavior. On the voter side, he examines the electorate’s perception, knowledge, and voting behavior to reveal how voters respond to political environments and elite messages. His work has been published in American Political Science Review, Journal of Politics, Legislative Studies Quarterly, European Journal of Political Research, Electoral Studies, and Party Politics, among others.
